Ayşe Berna Uçarol is PhD candidate at the Sociology Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. She has lecturing in private university in Istanbul. She has a producer and presenter of the program on labour news and labour rights in an independent radio channel. She received her B.A. degree in sociology from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University (1998) and her M.A. degree in international relationship from Istanbul University (2002). She is interested in labour, labour rights, neoliberalism and qualitative research. Her PhD thesis’s research topic is on “Finance laborers in Istanbul in the 2000s”. She had worked as a business development specialist in insurance company in Istanbul (2000-2006). She has experience as a reasearcher assistant in qualitative research project which were also supported by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK). The project topic was “Istanbul City of Labour: the Social and Spatial Practices of Work Life in the Metropolis” (2010-2012). In CHIEF she will participate in WP 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and particularly WP2.
