Inta Mierina

Dr. Inta Mierina has been involved in a number of international comparative studies concerning youth, mostly their civic and political participation, working careers, well-being and addictions, as well as general comparative studies. Among the most recent projects are FP7 MYPLACE, FP7 MYWEB, The European Social Model along the economic crisis and austerity policies, Growing Inequalities’ Impacts (GINI) and European Social Survey (ESS). Mierina has been a visiting researcher at the Aarhus University, the University of Illinois at Chicago, GESIS EUROLAB, a Fulbright research fellow at the University of Washington and a postdoctoral associate at Yale University MacMillan. She has taught qualitative and quantitative research methods in Latvia, and given talks on quantitative analysis techniques abroad.
