Koba Turmanidze, CRRC-Georgia’s Director, has 15 years of experience in academic and applied research. He has supervised over 50 research projects of different scope and design at CRRC since 2007. Before joining CRRC, Koba worked for a number of civil society organizations as well as in civil service. He also taught comparative politics, research methods and applied statistics at Tbilisi State University.
Koba earned an MPA from American University (Washington, DC), an M.A. in Political Science from Central European University (Budapest, Hungary), and a diploma in History from Tbilisi State University (Tbilisi,Georgia). He has publications on authoritarianism, voting behaviour, and social networks.
In the CHIEF project Koba will be primarily involved in the design and analysis of school survey (WP3). He will be particularly interested to explore the factors contributing to young people’s conservative views regarding “other” social groups and cultures.
