Saim Buğra Kurban

S. Buğra Kurban, is a researcher for all WPs and primarily responsible for WP3 and WP6 in Turkey, received his B.A. in sociology from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University (İstanbul, Turkey). Currently, he is continuing his graduate study at the Department of Sociology, Boğaziçi Univerity (İstanbul, Turkey). Also, he is a research assistant at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. His research interests lie in the area of urban studies, ethnography and research methods in social sciences, and social change. Besides these interest, he had worked for several web companies as content evaluator/creator and website moderator. He had worked voluntarily for Community Volunteers Foundation (in 2011), İmece Ecological Farm (in summer 2011 and summer 2013), Sulukule Volunteers Association (in 2012-2014). Furthermore, he had been an intern at for the project of Media Watch on Hate Speech for eight months (in 2015).
Also, he is enthusiastic about documentary photography and visual ethnography. He received an A.A. degree in photography and video making. He took advanced classes from well-known photographers in Turkey and attended workshops for making documentary techniques.
