Progress

The project started in May 2018 and will be completed in April 2021.

As part of the research, we have conducted systematic reviews of educational policies and curricula related to cultural education, interviewed 537 young people and 89 teachers in schools, interviewed 174 young people and 44 practitioners working in non-formal educational settings, and interviewed 47 practitioners working across 18 heritage sites.

We have conducted in depth inter-generational interviews with 83 families (234 young people, parents and grandparents), and have also completed a survey of 15,680 young people.
